James "Jay" Pinsky is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer , submariner, and combat photojournalist with an affinity for hunting, shooting, conservation, and the outdoor community. Left-eye dominant but right-minded, Jay enjoys writing about the humanity of our community the most, but he also appreciated a slick lever-gun or anything chambered in the all-world 6.5x55 Swede. Jay currently serves as the editor for The Hunting Wire & The Archery Wire in addition to his freelance work across the outdoor industry.
